The United Arab Emirates (UAE) fuel prices are adjusted every month based on the global average crude oil and fuel prices. These adjustments are made to ensure that fuel/petrol prices remain aligned with global fuel price trends.
The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has announced an increase in fuel prices (petrol prices) for May 2025, compared to fuel prices in April 2025 and desiel prices for May 2025 has decreased, as compared to diesel prices in April 2025. The UAE Fuel Prices Monitoring Committee has approved the new rates, which will be implemented on Thursday, May 1, 2025, in response to changes in global fuel prices or crude oil changes.
The updated fuel prices or (petrol rates), effective from May 1, 2025, are as follows:

- 98 Super: Dhs 2.58 per litre compared to Dhs2.57 per litre April 2025
- 95 Special: Dhs 2.47 per litre compared to Dhs 2.46 per litre April 2025
- E-Plus 91: Dhs 2.39 per litre compared to Dhs 2.38 per litre April 2025
- Diesel: Dhs 2.52 per litre compared to Dhs 2.63 per litre April 2025
Since 2015, when the UAE deregulated fuel prices and tied them to global rates, they have been updated at the end of every month.
